Our guest this week is Dr. Emmett Lee Gill. Dr. Emmett Gill is the Director of Student-Athlete Wellness and Personal Development and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. He also serves as the Past President and Chief Executive Officer of the Alliance of Social Workers in Sport. He is also the national coordinator for The Student-Athletes Human Rights Project. 
 
We speak with Dr. Gill about : 
 
-His childhood in Durham, North Carolina and how grew up in and around sport.
 
-The establishment of a Student-Athlete Wellness Center at NC Central University, What went into its creation and why aren't we seeing more centers developed to deal with emotional wellness and support on college campuses
